In an effort to boost trading and attract customers, Liffe, NYSE Euronext's derivatives market, will waive exchange fees for certain short-term interest-rate options contracts.

According to reports, trading in options contracts based on the exchange's Euribor will not fees for six months or the first million trades for new customers. In addition, three-month short sterling interest rate options and mid-curve options contracts will also have fees waived.

Interested customers can register for the offers from September 1 through December 31.
