Axes Promotes Reekstin

William Reekstin has been promoted to global business development executive at global agency broker Axes. Reekstin, who has been focused on managing the integration of new brokerage offerings on the firm's Global Execution Management System (GEMS), will work with Axes global broker partners to provide new brokerage services in local markets.

New Nasdaq Government Relations Hire Nasdaq hired Jameel Aalim-Johnson as associate vice president of Nasdaq government relations. He will be responsible for representing Nasdaq's views and policies at the federal, state and local level. Johnson previously was chief of staff for New York Congressman Gregory Meeks.

BIDS Appoints Sales & Marketing Head Marybeth Shay has joined BIDS Trading as senior managing director of sales and marketing. As part of her strategic business development responsibilities, Shay will work to connect more OMSs and EMSs to the BIDS platform with a focus on additional buy-side connectivity. Previously, Shay was SVP of sales and marketing for the Boston Equities Exchange and a member of the board of directors of the BSX Group.

Bloomberg Vet Joins SuperDerivatives After more than 19 years at Bloomberg, Russell Levi has left to join technology provider SuperDerivatives as SVP of global sales and support. Most recently, Levi was head of electronic trading, front-office systems and messaging at Bloomberg.
