JOB DESCRIPTION
Plan, direct, lead and manage all Info Systems, Technology and Communications (voice and data) services for all business entities
Ensure that all IS/IT infrastructures and initiatives are aligned with the Group and business units' strategic plans, and are technically sound and cost effective
Develop governance framework to a degree that will assure Executives and Directors that all modern IT diligence standards are adhered to
When appropriate, develop and implement a strategic information plan for the Group and/or its individual business entities, including constituent technology plans, to meet business objectives.
Consult with internal business unit management and staff to anticipate current and future information systems and technology requirements
Develop & Ensure the integrity of all data security, business continuity and disaster recovery plans
Responsible for buy vs. build assessment, RFI and RFP processes and evaluations
Additional Info
Bachelor's degree within a technology related discipline or equivalent, combined with a min. of 15 years of technology leadership experience, preferably obtained within a financial services environment
Experience managing a budget in excess of $50m; and a staff of approx. 100 direct and indirect reports
Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills.
A desire to critically evaluate processes and to be creative in thinking about ways to improve them
Willingness to challenge the status quo
Proven track record of successfully leading IT department transformations
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be client focused and highly organized
Self-motivated and enthusiastic,strong work ethic
Strong analytical, problem solving and technical aptitude
