Nomura launched the 75,000 square foot U.S. equities trading floor in October of 2010 with 500 workstations, coinciding with the launch of U.S. equities and US equity research. The floor has capacity to expand up to 600 positions. With the emphasis on new technology, Nomura also went live with NXT Direct, a low-latency global execution platform built from scratch over the past year.
