In addition, five executives from hedge funds that fed money into the Madoff Ponzi scheme also had their assets frozen as well under the order by Connecticut Superior Court Judge Arthur Hiller.
The order, which will be effective until April 13, includes Walter Noel, Jeffrey Tucker and Andres Piedrahita from Fairfield Greenwich; Sandra Manzke from Maxam Capital; and Robert Schulman who at one point ran Tremont Holdings Group.
According to published reports, under the judge's order, those named can use money for living expenses but cannot sell homes or move money around.
