Zvi Goffer
Zvi Goffer, a former hedge fund trader who briefly worked for Rajaratnam's Galleon Group, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in September for illegally getting word of impending mergers from attorneys who worked on such deals, and trading on that information. Goffer was reportedly known by associates as "Octopussy" because of his wide-ranging connections to insider information. Goffer's scheme allegedly netted $20 million in illegal profits.
